Investigations continuing into allegations of rape against Dharamlall – police

Police yesterday confirmed that investigations are continuing into the allegations of rape against former Minister of Local Govern-ment, Nigel Dharamlall, who was released on $500,000 bail after turning himself into the Cove and John Police Station on May 14.  

This is according to the Force’s Corporate Com-munication Unit Head, Mark Ramotar yesterday. When asked for a further update into the matter, he responded, “No further update… investigations continue.”

Dharamlall, had turned himself into police at the Cove and John station on the morning of May14 and was released on $500,000 bail later that evening.
