The Lucas Stock Index fell 3.590 percent on the sale of 70,259 shares during the second period of trading in May 2024. Six stocks traded this week, and the activities produced no Climbers and five Tumblers, resulting in the index losing about G$27.5B in value.
The stock price of Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) fell 11.765 percent on the sale of 25,055 shares while the stock price of Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (BTI) fell 4.516 on the sale of 795 shares. In addition, the stock price of Banks DIH (DIH) fell 4.348 percent on the sale of 41,696 shares and that of Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) fell 1.695 percent on the sale of 505 shares. Also, the stock price of Demerara Bank Limited (DBL) fell 0.282 percent on the sale of 553 shares.
In the meanwhile, the stock price of Sterling Products Limited (SPL) remained unchanged on the sale of 1,655 shares.
The LSI closed at 1,299.891.
