In honour of Mother’s Day, Women’s Haven Guyana on Sunday donated organic feminine care products to mothers in the Maternity Ward at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
According to a press release from the company, it distributed 60 gift packages, ensuring each pre and post-delivery maternity patient received organic feminine care products. These packages included 100% organic extra-heavy sanitary napkins, all-purpose bamboo wipes, and 100% organic extra-long liners, the release said.
It added that the donation highlighted Women’s Haven Guyana’s dedication to promoting healthier feminine care alternatives that are free from potentially harmful substances such as wood pulp, cellulose, dyes, perfumes, phthalates, dioxins, furans, and plastics. The donation exemplified the brand’s mission to empower women with safe products crafted by women for women, the release stated.
It quoted Executive Distributor of Women’s Haven Guyana Lexann McPhoy as saying, “It was a true honour to share our organic pads, liners, and wipes with the mothers at the Georgetown Hospital today. Looking back on my own maternity journey and that of many others, the availability of non-toxic products was limited. Today, these mothers have the opportunity to experience a superior post-delivery period with our highly absorbent, organic sanitary pads and bamboo wipes for their babies.”
