Six major projects were recently awarded in Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam), which will result in significant infrastructural development for residents and farmers. The six new contracts, totalling $185,005,555 will enhance the lives of residents in the various communities along the coast.
On Saturday, Regional Executive Officer Susannah Saywack led a team consisting of the Regional Engineer Kawan Suchit, Civil Engineer Harindra Nandalall, Electrical Engineer Avinash Ramlall, and Superintendent of Works Saywack Persaud that visited the project sites with the contractors. These projects were tendered and awarded by the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board of the Ministry of Finance.
One of the projects is the construction of a Farmer’s Wharf at Charity, granted to Triple P Construction & General Supplies for $16,117,780. This wharf will benefit farmers bringing produce from Pomeroon to the market and serve local residents.
