Mill operator granted $250,000 bail on gun charge

A 31-year-old mill operator of Lot 4642 Westminster, West Bank Demerara who was arrested on May 12th over the unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition without license was granted bail in the sum of $250,000 when he appeared at the Wales Magistrate’s Court.

Daughton Jackson appeared before Magistrate Rhondel Weever where the charges were read to him. He pleaded not guilty and was placed on bail of $150,000 on the firearm charge and $100,000 on the ammunition charge. 

The matter was adjourned to July 4, 2024.
