GTA Novices Championship
Alicia Greene, Tisel Patterson, Joshua Kennedy, and Osafa Dos Santos recorded contrasting wins when the Guyana Tennis Association (GTA) Novices Championship commenced at the National Racquet Centre on Woolford Avenue and Camp Street.
In the women’s category, Greene overcame a 2/4 deficit to prevail 6/4 over Christina Basil. Likewise, Patterson overcame a 2/5 deficit to defeat Justine Kennedy 7/5.
Meanwhile, in the men’s division, Joshua defeated Vinish Etwaroo 6/4. On the other hand, Dos Santos downed Nkofi Hodge 6/2. The tournament continues today at the same venue with another round of matches.
