Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Linden edition

Three-time defending champions Swag Entertainment, Silver Bullets, and YMCA secured quarterfinal berths in the Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Linden edition following victories in the round of 18 segment on Saturday evening.

Staged at the Christianburg hard-court, Swag Entertainment bested a gritty Valley Side outfit 1-0 via a Shane Lucky conversion. In identical fashion, the two-time winners, the Silver Bullets, defeated the DC Ballers 1-0 via a Colwyn Drakes strike. Meanwhile, YMCA battled past Hardball Management 2-1 on penalty kicks after regulation time ended scoreless.

In other results, Dark Horse, the Spaniards, squeaked past Fearless 3-2. Shaka Lewis led the way with a brace, while Jamal Aikman found the back of the net once. On the other side, a double was crafted by Devon Gilbert.

Turf President secured their place in the final eight after overcoming the Young Gunners 1-0. Kelroy Anthony was the difference on the night as he etched his name on the scorer’s sheet.

They will also earn an automatic berth to the national championship, which is slated to commence during the month of August in Georgetown.
