Canal #1 man arrested over house lot fraud

An unemployed 30-year-old man of Mes Delices, Canal #1, West Bank Demerara, was arrested on Monday May 20, 2024 at the Ministry of Housing (Brickdam) for allegedly trying to defraud another man of $250,000 as payment for a plot of land, the police said in a release yesterday.

Venezuelan busted in Pomeroon with cocaine

On Monday 20th May 2024, Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) officers whilst conducting a follow-up operation in the Grant Woodland, Lower Pomeroon River area, conducted a search of Gavin Adams’ residence, which led to the discovery of five brick-like parcels containing a whitish powdery substance suspected to be cocaine.
