Dear Editor,
The GPA public tit-for-tat spat comes down to lashing the messenger rather than dealing with the message. It is an all too familiar outcome where issues, instead of being dealt with in a frank and open manner, are buried and overtaken by the personal. The silence by some longstanding members on allegations and matters raised by both sides is noted.
The organisation, in the end is the loser by these goings-on and it is hoped the parties can work through the issues for the greater good of journalism and journalists.
