Dexter McDonald, 31, of Buxton Middle Walk, East Coast Demerara was arrested on Friday, May 17, 2024, and charged with the following offences:
Armed robbery committed on Sharon Sarjoo.
Discharging a loaded firearm with the intent at Collin Rodney.
The accused appeared at the Vigilance Magis-trate’s Court on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, before Magistrate Fabayo Azore and the charges were read to him.
McDonald was not required to plead to the discharging of a loaded firearm charge. He pleaded not guilty to the armed robbery charge and bail was denied.
The accused was remanded to prison, and the matters adjourned to June 19, 2024.
On May 21st, McDonald, who was arrested on May 17 for the shooting of Azim Khan, and burglary on Junior Blair and Roxanne Blair, was remanded to prison on all charges.
Khan is the 22-year-old Guyana Defence Force (GDF) private who was shot in a home invasion at his Lot 534 Block 8, Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara residence on May 6.
