Dear Editor,
The pain, frustration and anger was palpable in the missive by the parents of young Jared Jagnandan, killed two months ago, as they lamented the slothfulness in getting justice for their son. An all too familiar story.
It brings no comfort to grieving parents and family members the pace of investigations into matters as they seek answers in trying to understand how their loved ones were taken from them in tragic circumstances. But the system, imperfect as it might be seen, must be allowed to work. Regrettably there is no other way.
The Jagnandans must keep faith and trust the system, while justice might be delayed it would not be denied. It cannot. May the cherished memories of your loved ones comfort all grieving families seeking justice.
Sincerely,
Shamshun Mohamed
