Police in Regional Division 4 ‘A’ are investigating reports of a hit-and-run accident which occurred on Thursday May 24, at about 19.00 hours on High Street, Georgetown, involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian, Jvon Ross, of Lot 54 D’Urban Street, Werk-en-Rust, George-town.
Initial investigations revealed that the motorcycle was proceeding north along High Street at a fast rate and collided with Ross who was crossing the same road in the vicinity of Hadfield Street.
As a result of the collision, the pedestrian fell on the roadway. He was picked up by his parents, placed in a car, and rushed to Georgetown Public Hospital, where he was admitted.
Investigations are ongoing.
