-organisers cite heavy rainfall
As fans, footballers, teachers and parents wait with bated breath for the kick-off of the fifth edition of the ExxonMobil Boys and Girls Schools Under-14 Football Tournament, they will be made to wait a bit longer after torrential rainfall on the coast of Guyana forced coordinators, the Petra Organisation to postpone the start of the tournament from today to Monday (May 27).
While all games will be played at the Ministry of Education ground on Carifesta Avenue, Georgetown, the opening day will feature an exciting lineup of eleven matches in the Girls’ sector
Meanwhile, the opening round of the Boys’ tournament will start with Three Mile Secondary facing East Ruimveldt at 10:45 AM. Simultaneously, Abram Zuil will lock horns with New Central High while Charity Secondary will face Marian Academy in the other encounter.
