In just two weeks since the opening of Warlock Cafe at Cotton Field, Essequibo Coast in Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam), over 1,000 bubble teas, frappes, and milkshakes have been sold. The cafe was launched by 31-year-old Geresh Bissessar of Lima, Region Two.
Bissessar returned to Guyana from Canada inspired by the positive economic changes occurring here. Thinking on what he could uniquely offer Region Two, Bissessar came up with the idea of opening a cafe serving bubble tea, frappes, and milkshakes.
He believed that Essequibo residents were in need of such an experience, and decided to rent a venue at Cotton Field.
Warlock Cafe offers a variety of bubble teas and frappes in different delicious flavors and toppings, and is already providing employment for five people. Bissessar aims to expand his offerings and add more to the cafe.
“I wanted to offer something different to the people of Region Two. Sometimes, when you’re taking a long drive, you just want to sip on something refreshing, and I felt bubble tea and frappes were needed,” Bissessar said.
Bissessar expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support from the Essequibo community and encourages people to visit Warlock Cafe’s Facebook page for more information.
