Minister of Labour Joseph Hamilton, Democratic US Congressman of Illinois, Jonathan Jackson along with his technical team yesterday visited Kaieteur Falls.
The US Congressman is currently visiting Guyana following an official invitation from President Irfaan Ali. The Congressman participated in the flag-raising ceremony at Linden, Region Ten to commemorate the country’s 58th Independence anniversary.
Jackson represents Illinois’ First Congressional District of the United States Congress and is a leading member of the Congressional Black Caucus. He also serves on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and the House Committee on Agriculture.
