When the highly anticipated ExxonMobil Schools U14 Football got underway yesterday at the Ministry of Education ground on Carifesta Avenue, Georgetown, the defending champions of the male category, Bartica Secondary, launched their title defence with a flawless 3-0 win over L’Aventure Secondary.

Jaden Christian, Ray Spencer and Lenny Skeete were the men on target for the Region 7 outfit, easily brushing aside their opponents.  Christian opened proceedings with a well-taken goal in the fourth minute with Ray Spencer and Lenny Skeete delivering the killer blows in the 15th and 30th minutes respectively.

On the opening day where 29 games were played, the Waramuri Primary Top girls showed their dominance inflicting an 8-0 drubbing over their counterparts from the Institute of Academic Excellence (IAE).
