Man charged with murdering taxi driver at Bourda Market

Fifty-year-old Fitzroy Holligan, also known as `Fishy’, of Lot 34 Queen Street Cummingsburg, appeared before Chief Magistrate (ag) Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court yesterday charged with the murder of taxi driver Eon Holder.

It was alleged that on February 24, 2024 at Alexander Street, Bourda, Georgetown, Holligan shot  Holder.

Prosecutor Quincy Lacon told the court that on the day in question at about 4:30 am, Holder, who was hired by a customer to go to Bourda Market had parked his car to allow his customer to exit which then led to the accused and the now deceased man having a misunderstanding over obstruction of the roadway.
