Newcomer Back Circle B won the ‘Settlement of All Arguments’ street-ball championship, defeating Taliban 2-1 on penalty kicks in the final on Sunday evening at the Mocha Community’s Centre ground tarmac.
It was a clinical performance from Back Circle B, as they converted both their attempts from the distance. Locked at 1-1 at the end of regulation and extra time, the Taliban commenced the penalty shootout in the worst possible manner as Adrian Aaron failed to convert from the halfway distance. Back Circle B capitalised on the aforesaid failure, as Raushan Boters scored.
Jermin Junior then converted in the second round for the Taliban unit to level the score at 1-1. Nonetheless, the championship was sealed as Jermaine Beckles netted from the distance for Back Circle B.
