St. Ignatius, Tucville, and President’s College (PC) earned berths to the round of 16 segment in the Blue Waters Girl’s U-15 Football Championship following triumphs in their respective zonal divisions.
St. Ignatius triumphed in the Region #9 zone after ending the round-robin segment with a record of three wins, two losses, and a draw.
St. Ignatius defeated Nappi 3-1, Karasabai 2-0, and Aishalton 1-0. They also played to a scoreless draw with Annai. However, they lost to Nappi 0-2 and Sand Creek 0-1.
Meanwhile, Tucville won the Region #4 South Georgetown title after ending the group stage segment with a 3-0 record. Tucville downed South Ruimveldt 2-0 in their opening match before thrashing Dolphin 5-0 in the second encounter. In the final fixture, Tucville downed East Ruimveldt 2-0.
In similar fashion, PC won the East Coast Demerara segment, following a perfect 3-0 record at the conclusion of the group stage. President’s College thumped Anns Grove 4-0 in their first match before brushing aside Annandale 3-0 in their second outing. In their final fixture, PC thrashed BV 5-0.
