Nicholas Verwey, Michael Alphonso, and Safirah Sumner battled to victories when the Kraft Mac and Cheese Junior Squash Championship commenced last night at the Georgetown Club Squash Courts on Camp Street.
Verwey defeated Louis DaSilva 11-3, 7-11, 9-11, 11-7, and 11-6. On the other hand, Alphonso bested Mohryan Baksh 11-4, 11-2, and 11-4.
Meanwhile, Sumner downed Richard Rodrigues 11-4, 9-11, 11-5, and 12-10. Continuing in the same section, Blake Edwards overcame Jeremy Ten-Pow 11-9, 3-11, 11-8, 11-13, and 11-6.
