Dear Editor,
The mining town is in dire need following flooding, but the same ole game of trading blame and finger pointing is in full flow between the sides. So the town’s council asked for help for its Town Week activities, but the response was lukewarm from CG. CG asked for help with Independence activities from the town, which chose instead to boycott the national event. Political gamesmanship at its best.
In the meantime, the Town and its citizens remain in a state of despair and suffering. The bashing and lashing must stop. The administration must do all it can to bring some quick relief to Linden and other areas suffering from the effects of immense rainfall. We have been there before and overcame. We can do it again.
Sincerely,
Shamshun Mohamed
