Police are investigating an incident at about 3.20 am yesterday on the Enterprise public road, Leguan island, which resulted in the death of 23-year-old motorcyclist Vickash Singh.
Singh, a resident of Leguan, was riding his motorcycle #CK 2275 at the time.
Enquiries disclose that Singh, who was not wearing a helmet, was proceeding south along the eastern side of the road at a fast rate when he lost control of his motorcycle and ended up on the western parapet where there was a collision with a GPL pole.
As a result of the collision, Singh sustained head and other injuries. He was picked up in an unconscious condition and taken to the Leguan Cottage Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor on duty.
