Psyiffia Boodram, a 24-year-old teacher of Lot 4 Public Road, Ruimveldt, Georgetown appeared before Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court 2, yesterday charged with the offence of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
It was alleged that on May 29 2024 at Lot 4 Public Road, Ruimveldt, Georgetown she had in her possession 3015 grams of a narcotic for the purpose of trafficking, she pleaded not guilty.
Her attorney, Bernard DaSilva told the court that the narcotic was found in a shop- like structure in front of the home where Boodram resides. This structure he said is accessible to the public,
