A Police Sergeant is currently under arrest while assisting with an investigation into an incident that occurred yesterday at approximately 11:45 a.m. at the intersection of Camp and Church streets in George-town, the police said in a statement last night.
Following what appeared to be a road rage incident, the sergeant, armed with a firearm, assaulted the civilian who was carrying a cutlass.
The matter was reported to the Alberttown Police Station, and the civilian has since undergone a medical examination. The Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) is currently investigating the issue.
