The Lucas Stock Index declined 0.021 percent on the sale of 36,357 shares during the final period of trading in May 2024. Eight stocks traded during the period with one Climber and three Tumblers emerging, and resulting in the index losing about G$154M in value. The stock price of Banks DIH (DIH) rose 6.481 percent on the sale of 20,100 shares. In contrast, the stock price of Sterling Products Limited (SPL) fell 10.375 percent on the sale of 474 shares while that of Republic Bank Limited (RBL) fell 3.090 percent on the sale of 1,944 shares. In addition, the stock price of Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) fell 0.114 percent on the sale of 8,831 shares. In the meanwhile, the stock price of Caribbean Container Inc (CCI), Demerara Bank Limited (DBL), Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) and Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (BTI) remained unchanged on the sale of 2,500; 500; 1,585 and 423 shares respectively.
