Dexter Aulder called ‘Tex’, a 46-year-old businessman of Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara, appeared today at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Teriq Mohamed to answer to a charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
He pleaded not guilty and was remanded to prison. The matter was adjourned to 2024-06-25.
The police said in a statement that Aulder was arrested at the Itaballi Police Checkpoint on May 31st, 2024 after ranks found him to be in possession of 507.5 grams of marijuana and 57.6 grams of cocaine.
