Businesses that formally expressed interest in providing goods or services for ExxonMobil during the last quarter of last year are being invited to a meeting later this month as the company wants feedback from its vendors on the request for information process to make doing business with them smoother.
“ExxonMobil Guyana will host a Request for Information (RFI) Feedback Session for RFIs issued between July and December 2023. Join us for this virtual session at 9 am on Wednesday, June 19, 2024,” the company posted on its LinkedIn page. A notice was also published in the Guyana Chronicle yesterday.
RFI is a formal process for gathering information from potential suppliers of a good or service.
According to procurementflow.com, an RFI is typically used when an organization needs to acquire knowledge about the products, services, or capabilities of various potential suppliers but is not yet ready to move forward with a formal procurement process such as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quotation (RFQ). This process helps business gain insight into the market and available options before making procurement decisions as it sees the capabilities and time frames for necessary services.
ExxonMobil reminded that all interested companies are encouraged to register with the Centre for Local Business Development here in Guyana via centreguyana.com or they can visit the office on South Road directly for training sessions relating to the oil and gas sector and other RFI opportunities.
