Roseann Bumbury, one of the accident victims injured in a head-on collision on May 13 at Long Creek on the Soesdyke-Linden Highway, which took the lives of six persons, is still a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) recovering from her injuries.
Bumbury is currently the only one among the injured that has not been discharged from the hospital. Her daughter, Bibi Ghanie, told the Stabroek News yesterday that her mother’s long-awaited surgery to repair a broken nose, foot, and hand, sustained in the accident was finally performed on Wednesday. She related that someone finally donated blood allowing the doctors to go ahead with the surgery and her mother is currently recovering in the female surgical ward of the GPH.
