The Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association (GGDMA) is calling for justice for Jared Jagnandan, the 18-year-old tragically killed on March 21, 2024.
“We stand with his family in demanding that the Guyana Police Force and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecu-tions address this matter with the highest urgency and transparency.
“The prolonged delay in resolving this case is deeply troubling, as over two months have passed without any charges being filed. It is crucial that cases like this are resolved promptly and transparently to uphold the principles of justice and accountability. This delay risks eroding public confidence in the justice system”, the miners association stated in a release yesterday.
By raising its voice, the GGDMA said it hopes to amplify the seriousness of this matter and increase public awareness.
Jagnandan was fatally shot on Thursday, March 21st, 2024 at Shaf Auto Sales at Lusignan allegedly by the guard on duty.
