A combination of high tides and rainfall is continuing to cause the water levels to rise in Rockstone Landing, Region 10, resulting in flooding in certain areas.
According to Toshao of Rockstone Landing, Flagan Carter, one household has been evacuated while another has taken refuge on higher ground.
Carter told Stabroek News (SN) last evening that the floodwaters have reached approximately one and a half feet in certain areas, and so far around 10 to 12 persons have been directly affected as a result.
