Sussex St man on drug trafficking charge

Quinn  Neblett of Lot 3 Sussex Street, Albouystown, appeared before Magistrate Clive Nurse at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court yesterday charged with possession of  narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

It was alleged that on May 28 2024 at Barrack and Fort streets, Kingston, Georgetown, he had in his possession 44g of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge. Attorney Bernard Da Silva who represented Neblett, told the court that the narcotics was found in a food caravan located on Barrack and Fort streets and that his client does not live in that area, but rather he was visiting family at the time when the police raided the area.

The matter was adjourned to July 3, 2024 for statements.
