The Ministry of Health through Health Services, Region Five (Mahaica- Berbice) yesterday announced its newest introduction to the surgical platform of services provided at Mahaicony Cottage Hospital.
On June 03, 2024, a dedicated team of surgical personnel successfully performed the hospital’s first cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal surgery). The 24-year-old patient is recovering well and expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the care received, a release from the Ministry of Health said.
