PM discusses increasing demand for electricity in Region 10

Prime Minister Mark Phillips met with the management and board members of the Linden Electrification Company Inc. (LECI) and the CEO of the Hinterland Electrification Company Inc. (HECI) yesterday afternoon at his Office on Camp Street.

A release from the Prime Minister’s office said that discussions focused on the development and operational aspects of LECI and on strategic planning to address the increasing demand for electricity at Linden, Region 10, fuelled by the industrial growth in the region.

Among those in attendance were the CEO of HECI,  Horace Williams and Chair of the LECI, Andrew Forsythe.

Prime Minister Phillips was joined by the Permanent Secretary of the Office of the Prime Minister, Alfred King.
