The Police say they are investigating the theft of a car from Shon Azeez, a 32-year-old taxi driver from Eccles, East Bank Demerara.
He was relieved of his black Allion motor car bearing registration number PRR 8812, valued at $1.6m, and one cell phone valued at $50,000.
The robbery reportedly occurred at about 9.30 am on Wednesday) at South Ruimveldt.
The investigation disclosed that Azeez is attached to the Double ‘D’ Taxi Service situated at Eccles. At about 8.30 pm on Wednesday night, Azeez was seated in the driver’s seat of the vehicle when he was approached by one of the male suspects and the female, who requested to be taken to South Ruimveldt.
