The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) downed Venguy 3-0 when the Demerara Volleyball Association Senior Men’s League continued yesterday at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.
It was a clinical performance for the army unit, as they seized the lead following a 25-16 score at the end of the first set. GDF then doubled their advantage as they prevailed by 25-20 in the second set. The win was then secured in the third stanza as GDF triumphed 25-18.
The event continues tonight at the same venue with another fixture.
