(Trinidad Guardian) Couva businessman Alan Babwah, 37, was killed during a home invasion on Friday night.
Reports say Babwah was beaten in front of his wife Shivani Babwah and the couple’s two small children.
He was then taken downstairs robbed of $33,000 cash and then killed.
Babwah was at his Exchange Phase 2 Housing Development home, Couva when three armed men stormed the house from the western side of the building.
Ramkissoon Ramjit, his father-in-law, said the family moved in to the area just over a year ago.
Ramjit said, “They beat the man in front of his wife and children, they put the knife by his son’s neck. They get the money, oh gosh whey yuh kill the man for, take the money and go nah (sic). He has vehicles, if yuh want a vehicle take a vehicle and go nah man, you have no right to kill the man, a young man.”
Ramjit said he was hopeful that the police would catch the perpetrators.
