There is an exception to the accusation of rape in Guyana

Dear Editor,

Usually whenever someone is repeatedly accused of rape, they quietly slink into ignominy and are never heard from again. It seems that there is an exception in Guyana. Shame and candor, once passed to people, has now become en vogue in our society. Sadly, this grotesque and sick character is cradled and carried by the powers that be. Winning elections do not seem to matter to them. Unless they dramatically change course and cut this depraved soul free, they will find out that women, decent and patriotic people are outraged by the embrace of the wicked.

Sincerely,

Chitrakha Persaud
