Cop in Wellington Public Road accident succumbs

The police constable whose minibus burst into flames after he lost control of it and collided with a utility pole on the Wellington Public Road, West Coast Berbice, on May 27 died last Friday at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH).

Dead is Constable Dwight Chester, the driver and owner of minibus, BAF 3307. He was stationed at the Mahaicony Police Station and resided at Lot 12 Number Two Village, West Coast Berbice. The other occupants of the minibus were Cynthia Samaroo, 23, of Lot ‘A’ Yank Dam, D’Edward Village, West Coast Berbice; and Leroy Williams, 19, of Burma Road, Mahaicony.
