Dear Editor,
In the online news article “Gov’t sends Mae Thomas Toussaint on leave following US report” (SN, 11th June 2024) The Ministry of Labour Permanent Secretary (Mae Thomas Toussaint) was sent on leave pending an investigation into corruption.
Shouldn’t there be more consistency? Shouldn’t Nigel Dharamlall also be sent on leave based on the allegations of rape levelled against him? Shouldn’t Bharrat Jagdeo also be sent on leave pending an investigation into corruption allegation made by Vice News?
Sincerely,
Sean Ori
