Nabadaningi Gobin, a 40-year-old labourer of Lot 161 Charlotte Street, Georgetown, was arrested on 2024-04-07 and charged on 2024-06-11 with the Offence of Possession of Narcotics for the Purpose of Trafficking.
The police say that he was arrested with 2,050 grams of marijuana at Peters Hall, East Bank Demerara.
The defendant appeared on Tuesday at the Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court before Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman, where the charge was read to him. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded to prison.
The matter was adjourned to 2024-07-02.
