Tyrese David, a 22-year-old construction worker of Lot 105 Covent Garden, East Bank Demerara, was arrested on 2024-06-07 and charged on 2024-06-11 with the offence of possession of a firearm without a licence.
The defendant appeared on 2024-06-11 at the Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court before Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman, where the charge was read to him. He pleaded guilty. He was fined $70,000 and sentenced to 48 months in prison.
