Golf Association to stage National Junior Drive, Chip, & Putt Championship

The Guyana Golf Association (GGA) will conduct the 2nd National Junior Drive, Chip, and Putt Championship on July 5th at the Nexgen Academy facility on Woolford Avenue.

This was disclosed in an official release from the GGA. According to the correspondence, in excess of 300 individuals are expected to compete in the event, which will feature U-13, U-15, and U-18 divisions. Prizes will be awarded to the top two finishers in each segment.

“In addition to the National Junior Championship, the Guyana Golf Association and Nexgen Golf Academy are excited to welcome international trainers from the LPGA/USGA Girls Programme in August. These trainers will conduct a three-day training programme to certify all golf coaches at Level II and award them official certificates. Interested coaches must register by July 15th, as space is limited”, the release stated.
