Eagles soared past Castrol Strikers by a 3-0 score when the Demerara Volleyball Association Senior Men’s League continued at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.
It was an efficient performance from the Eagles unit, who stormed to a 1-0 lead at the end of the first set via a 25-17 score. Their advantage was then doubled in the second stanza as they prevailed by a hard-fought score of 25-23.
The result was then sealed under identical circumstances as the Eagles outfit triumphed in the third set 25-23. The event continues on Monday at the same venue with another fixture. The other participating teams in the two-round league are: Alphas, the Guyana Defence Force, Vanguards, Classic Ball Blasters, and Venguy.
