Yesterday’s edition of Stabroek Sport carried a news item headlined `GMRSC cuts ties with Team Mohamed in light of US sanctions’ which purported to be based on a release from the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMRSC). Stabroek Sport has since been advised by the GMRSC that it issued no press release on the matter in question. What purported to be a press release from the organisation was not authentic.
Stabroek Sport regrets the error and apologizes for any inconvenience caused to the parties in question.
