Police are investigating an incident where a man collapsed and died yesterday behind the Fire Station at Stabroek Market.
The incident reportedly occurred at about 18.30 hours and the man is believed to be a resident of Herstelling, East Bank of Demerara.
A vendor whose stall is close to where the man collapsed and died, told Stabroek News that around 18.30 hours yesterday, she came out of her stand and saw that the man had collapsed, prompting her to summon an ambulance. She later found out that he had died. She said that she was unaware of what happened, but she just saw him collapse on the ground close to her stand.
