As part of the Health Care Network Strengthening project, the Ministry of Health has invited bidders to design and build two hospitals at Kato in Region Eight (Potaro-Siparuni) and Moruca in Region One (Barima-Waini).
According to an advertisement in the Guyana Chronicle newspaper, bidders are required to include National Insurance Scheme (NIS) and Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) compliance, valid business or company registration, experience in similar works, and curriculum vitae of personnel for the design and build in their submissions. A security fee of US$25,000 ($5,212,500) must accompany all bids.
The advert explained that the bidding process will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedure, which is open to all bidders from eligible source countries. Site visits will be conducted on July 5 at 11 am at Moruca and July 8 at 11 am at Kato.
Interested bidders can uplift a complete set of bidding documents in English by submitting a written application to kato.hcns@gmail.com and moruca.hcns@gmail.com. The bidding documents can be obtained between 8 am and 3 pm, Monday to Friday.
The ad further advised that bids must be delivered to the National Procurement and Tender Administration at the Ministry of Finance, Main and Urquhart streets, Georgetown, by August 20 at 9 am. On this same date and time, the bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend. It was further cautioned that electronic bidding will not be permitted, and late bids will be rejected.
