Jason Lespor, a 34-year-old porter of Lot 56 James Street, Albouystown, Georgetown was on Wednesday remanded to prison on charges of attempted murder and inflicting grievous bodily harm to two men who went to the rescue of a woman he was beating.
According to the facts of the case the offences were committed against Leroy Goriah, 46, of Lot 31 Ketley Street, Albouystown, Georgetown and Alonzo Mc Lean, 48, a horse cart operator, of Lot 20 Independence Boulevard, Georgetown on May 25, 2024 at about 9 pm at High Bridge, La Penitence, Georgetown, in the vicinity of GT Bar.
Initial investigations revealed that the victims were at the GT Bar drinking when they observed the suspect beating his girlfriend, a 29-year-old security guard outside of the bar, on the High Bridge. They intervened to help the woman and the suspect drew a knife from his pants waist and dealt them several stabs about their bodies before making good his escape on foot in an eastern direction.
