Ravens grounded fierce rival Eagles by a 53-34 score when the Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association’s (GABA) Men’s U-23 League continued on Saturday evening at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.

Alroy Nurse led the rout with 16 points while Omar Headley chipped in with 12 points. Adding six points was Atilla Williamson. On the other side, Brandon McKoy netted 11 points.

The first stanza ended favourably for Ravens who secured an 11-5 advantage. Ravens then doubled their advantage in the second stanza, netting 15 points while restricting Eagles to seven to enter the halftime interval ahead at 26-12.

However, Eagles responded in the third stanza to reduce the deficit, as they outscored Ravens 15-7 to enter the final stanza trailing 27-33. Nonetheless, any hopes of an Eagles come from behind win was extinguished in the fourth period as Ravens out-hustled their foe 20-7.
