Touches, Make It Happen prevail in Mocha ‘Soft Shoe’ football

Touches and Make It Happen recorded hard-fought wins when the 6th edition of the Mocha Village Cup ‘Soft Shoe’ Football Championship resumed on Saturday night at the community centre ground.

Make It Happen edged Back Street 2-1. Bryan Harris and James Samuel scored in the 13th and 19th minutes, respectively. On target in the loss was Deshaun Ellis in the 20th minute.

Touches downed Street Ballers 4-2. Kevin Padmore tallied a brace in the sixth and 16th minutes, while Selwyn Joseph and Jahiem Lewis scored in the ninth and 20th minutes, respectively.

For the loser, Ceon Thomas tallied a double in the first and 16th minutes.

The winner of the event will pocket $400,000 and the championship trophy, while the second, third, and fourth-place finishers will walk away with $200,000, $100,000, and $50,000 and the corresponding accolade.
