Wade Morrison, a 41-year-old construction worker of Haslington New Scheme, East Coast Demerara, was yesterday remanded to prison after appearing in court to answer to the charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
He was arrested on June 14, 2024, with 895 grams of cannabis, the police said yesterday in a statement.
The accused appeared at the Cove and John Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Peter Hugh, who read the charge to him. He pleaded not guilty and was subsequently remanded to prison.
The matter has been adjourned until July 10, 2024.
